Artificial Intelligence
AI has become an essential part of our daily lives, helping simplify coding, automate tasks, and enhance user experiences. One of the biggest AI breakthroughs was ChatGPT, which launched in 2022 and rapidly gained popularity. History of AI: Although AI seems like a recent innovation, the term "Artificial Intelligence" was actually coined in 1956 by John McCarthy, who is considered the father of AI. Since then, AI has been continuously evolving, from early experiments in machine learning to advanced automation tools. These are some examples of how AI has played a role in society
Siri (2011 - Present): Apple integrated Siri into the iPhone in 2011 as one of the first mainstream AI-powered virtual assistants.
Self-Driving Cars: AI plays a crucial role in autonomous vehicles, with companies like Tesla and Waymo using AI to navigate roads.
Entertainment companies such as Netflix, Spotify, Youtube use AI to suggest content based of user behaviors
Why use AI
These companies and many more use AI to help customers and people make life easier imagine you are watching Netflix and Netflix begins bringing shows that are not of your type it might be frustrating right so using AI Netflix can improve your experience which in return will most likely retain its customers. AI is intended to help people better their lives and make automation more efficient.
Impacts of AI
AI biggest benefits will be more efficiecy better user experiences creating better content reducing human error. But it doesnt come without cons such as replacing human jobs Ai chatbots get rid of customer service agents privacy issues arise from this as well.
My Opinion
My opinion is to work alongside AI not work against it at the end of the day its just a tool not a replacement the goal should be to use it to your advantage and knowing how to use it. The future for developers arise with more AI type of jobs which i believe in the future thousands more jobs will be created
Cloud Computing
Cloud computing involves delivering computing services over the internet (the cloud), allowing for on-demand access to a shared pool of configurable resources, such as servers, storage, databases, and applications. It has transformed how businesses operate by enabling scalable, flexible, and cost-effective solutions. History of Cloud computingCloud computing idea goes back to 1960s Dr. Joseph Carl Robnett Licklider introduced ideas about global networking in 1999 Salesforce began offering software as a service over the internet in 2006 aws launched S3 and EC2 and in 2008 Google launched Google App engine to host applications on the infrastructure. Cloud has evolved for decades but it went mainstream in mid 2000 when Google Amazon and Microsoft all created the infrastructure. Today it is an essential part of Web Development. these are some of the ways Cloud is being utilized
Netflix uses AWS to store and and stream content users wont have to deal with buffers.
Paypal uses Google Cloud to help process millions of transactions and can scalable depending on business needs black fridays to prevent downtime
Uber uses google cloud for payment handling, optimizing routes, and to scale Uber operates in 70+ countries they can scale based of peak hours scale compute power to location based of on-demand
So Why use Cloud
Using the cloud today is a must because every company that has Web developer jobs will utilize the cloud because of the great benefits. Lets take Uber for instance if they did not have the cloud they would struggle because they operate in multiple countries so they would need to invest millions if not billions of dollars for data centers in every country making scalability expensive If peak hours hit Uber they could overload its servers making Ubers servers crash which could shut down its operations causing it to lose money. Without the cloud Uber today could not scale to millions of countries.

How Cloud affects Web Development
Cloud affects Web development in a positive way because the cloud helps business give users a great better user experience and without it business would struggle and users could not enjoy Netflix without buffering. Web development is about building products that users can enjoy and use.
Future of Cloud Computing
Honestly the future for cloud computing i really believe it will get better I think there are still more advancements coming to it so there will always be jobs for this and as a web developer knowing a little about the cloud will help stand out.
WEB 3.0
So lets think about the internet the Web so in the early stages of the Web so this would be 1990s - early 2000s the Web was static where users would have limited interactions they would just read but not interact with websites. Now from mid 2000s to present day we have Web 2.0 which is the Web we all grew up knowing social media, user generated content and mobile responsive designs we can read write and participate on the Web Facebook, content creators tiktokers, Youtubers etc. However the issue is web 2.0 is dominated by centeralized platforms which raises concerns about data and privacy control. Now how is web 3.0 different
How is web 3.0 different
Decentralization Web 3.0 aims to distribute power away from centralized entities like large tech companies and governments. This is often achieved through blockchain technology, which enables secure and transparent transactions and data management. Users are expected to have more control of their data in this web rather then other entities doing what they want with that data. The idea of Web 3.0 came from ethereum co founder Gavin Wood in 2014
Examples of web 3.0
Decentralized Finance (Defi) revolutionizing financial services by enabling peer to peer payments lending of crypto currencies without intermediaries like banks platforms such as UniSwap which is the biggest one I know of uses blockchain technology to ensure transparency.
NFTS(non-fungible tokens) These are digital assets that represent ownership of anything from artwork and collectibles to virtual real estate and in-game items. Platforms like OpenSea and Rarible are popular marketplaces for buying, selling, and trading NFTs. Artists, musicians, and creators are using NFTs to monetize their work and connect with their audiences in new ways.
Metaverse so it seems like a new thing but the metaverse term came in a novel in 1992 Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson where he coined out the term to describe virtual worlds where people interact buy virtual property. But in 2021 Facebook formerly renamed its name to Meta Platforms where founder Mark Zuckerburg layed out the idea of building this virtual worlds Thats why since 2021 this became mainstream and also a part of web 3.0
How Web 3.0 impacts web development
Learn Blockchain technology
User Centric applications meaning developer you need to prioritize user privacy and security
dApp Development learning to build Decentralized applications will be needed
My thoughts
I like the good which is you control your own data the downfall is many people right now do not know about blockchain tech since it is fairly new I am honestly excited to see what happens with web 3.0 its early to tell right now but this has potential to be a great evolution of the internet.
